table designs

table floral trough

This is a long and low hedged arrangement of flowers that frames the table. Crystals and interlaced tea light candle holders can be incorporated  to create a beautiful romantic look.

table stylisation

Flowers are placed directly on to the table by creating a placement of exotic leaves and scattering individual flowers and vine interlaced with tea light candle holders. This option is cost effective and can be used around an existing table centre or on its own.

candle cluster stylisation

Feature flowers and a totem candle are used inside your choice of vase that is placed along with table stylisation as described above. There are many variations to suite your budget and theme.

Flowers are arranged into a posy or a  tall exotic bunch into your choice of vase. This design is popular for round tables and can be repeated on to longer tables by using more than one vase down the centre of the table.

bud vase repetition

Long narrow tables are perfect for this style – up to 7 square bud vases are placed down length of table with orchids, roses or assorted spring blooms displayed. The look is modern and very stylish. Vines entwined with orchids and tea light candles on a table runner are a great way to finish the look.

latest trends

Over the past 12 months bridesinbloom has seen a greater trend towards a more relaxed table setting. Gone are the days of formal and unimaginative low oasis posy bowl – now days the trend is for a totally natural style. Tracy, the principal designer at bridesinbloom says that many of her brides love the sculptural look of stems showing in clear glass vases with exotic lily, tulips and orchids. Tracy said this provides great options as all her glassware is returnable and included in the cost allowing for more of the budget to be focussed on quality flowers. We often arrange the vase on onto a lush tropical leaf and scatter petals and orchids to complete the look, providing a real sense of placement.

Another popular trend is table stylisation – this is where fresh blooms, vines and foliages are arranges directly onto the table using contrasting table runner and lots of glass tea light votive holders to create a romantic setting. Many of my brides order our tea light holders as guest favours and this doubles as a place setting, we often place float bowls on large antherium leaves with dodder vine and orchids entwined running down the length of the table – it’s an inexpensive but really effective setting and it can be themes up beautifully. Many of the flower choices are tropical and quite “Zen” in effect, we often incorporate pebbles, succulent and other textured effects to create a total theme.

For brides with a reception venues requiring that “wow” appeal many of our brides are going for elevated vases to create a real impact for their guests. Tracy said her range of tall flute vases have been very popular this season, mostly because they can be designed to allow for easy table conversation whist still giving a fragrantly lush look to the tables.  It’s all in the details and its all about that individual touch… on napkins, tables and all the tiny little finishing touch’s. She said making the vases returnable has helped to meet the bride’s budget and allows for greater choices.

Tracy from bridesinbloom said even after all these years in the bridal industry she is still surprised how a room is completely transformed once the freshness of flowers are incorporated … they really are the ultimate finishing touch !
